What are suitable methods for consulting older users of community care services about their preferences and their opinions of their services?
 

This subject was explored during the Outcomes Programme research at the Social Policy Research Unit, University of York.

 

A consultation was undertaken on this general topic.

This consultation identified a particular method for consultation which appealed to older users of community care services – an interview at home, conducted by a senior manager of the interviewee’s own services.  An experimental test of this method was subsequently conducted.
